Reporting to the Company Accountant the Financial Administrator will be responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services to the finance and senior management teams.

The Role:

• Monitor and reconcile daily bank transactions, ensuring cash records are accurate and fully aligned with the finance system;
• Prepare and process bank lodgements in a timely and accurate manner;
• Prepare, review and post finance journals, ensuring transactions are recorded correctly;
• Process and distribute customer statements, responding to queries where required;
• Support the finance team with month-end procedures and ensure reporting deadlines are met;
• Maintain accurate, well-organised financial records and filing systems in line with company procedures;
• Provide flexible support across the wider finance function, assisting with additional duties during busy periods and staff absences.

The Person:

• Have strong IT skills with experience in Microsoft Office applications, in particular MS Excel;
• Able to work effectively both on your own initiative and also within a busy team;
• Possess excellent organisational, time management and interpersonal skills;
• Have excellent attention to detail and a high numerical understanding;
• Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience of working in a similar finance role and experience using accounting software;
• A business-related qualification would be advantageous but not essential.

The successful candidate should be reliable, efficient, motivated and be able to work as part of a team.  Candidates should have a good standard of education, the ability to complete accurate documentation and good communication skills.
